Although my experience is mostly in writing,
I have also enjoyed being involved in a range of events and have created audio and video pieces.

I am adept at using software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition and Headliner, as well as having experience in local radio.
BOLOGNA CHILDREN'S BOOK FAIR
March 2023
In March 2023, I had the honour of travelling to the Bologna Children's Book fair alongside a group of my coursemates.​
​
I spent the day at the fair attending appointments with publishers and presenting in the Digital Cafe.
​
My coursemates and I pitched a new children's book series, explaining how TikTok can be used effectively for marketing purposes.
BOLTON FM
November 2021 - present
In November 2021, I obtained work experience with 96.5 Bolton FM.
​
Prior to this, I had very limited experience in radio, and so the week allowed me to broaden my knowledge and learn what goes in to the running of a radio station.
During my time there, I sat in with presenters and learned from them while they recorded their shows - even getting the opportunity to chat and make announcements live on air.

Alongside this, I conducted several interviews, as well as proofreading the website and producing packages.

SALFORD NOW
2020 - present
While writing articles for the Salford Now website, I have also created and edited pieces of audio and video to go alongside them and assist in telling the story.

November 2019
During my first year at the University of Salford, I volunteered to be interviewed by ITV News about the upcoming General Election.

It was wonderful to experience the work of a professional news organisations first-hand so early in my career, and for my fellow students and I to get the opportunity to speak with Mary Nightingale.
